Paul Mason joined Channel 4 News as the Culture and Digital Editor in August 2013.  Paul took over the role of Economics Editor at ‘Newsnight’ after several years as the programme’s Business and Industry Correspondent. He sums up his overall agenda as ‘profit, people and planet’.

Paul won the Workworld Business Journalist of the Year Award and the Wincott Award for his reports from China, and the Diageo African Business Reporting Award for his acclaimed film on how mobile phones are changing Africa.

Before joining ‘Newsnight’, Paul was a print journalist, covering business in magazines and newspapers. He was deputy editor of ‘Computer Weekly’, a campaigning magazine whose investigative team regularly broke stories that made waves across government and industry. Paul’s book, ‘Live Working Or Die Fighting: How The Working Class Went Global’, tells the story of the new ‘globalised’ working class, alongside the epic history of the labour movement.
